(1) Installing the Control Gateway (Hub):

This is the first and most important step, as it connects all devices together.

How to install:

1. Plug the gateway into a power outlet.
2. Connect it to the internet (Wi‑Fi or LAN depending on the model).
3. Open the brand’s app (e.g., Tuya / Areb).
4. Add the gateway through “Add Device.”

(2) Installing Smart Lighting:

(A) Smart Bulbs:

1. Remove the old bulb.
2. Install the smart bulb in its place.
3. Turn on the switch until the bulb starts blinking (pairing mode).
4. Open the app → Add Device → Lighting.

(B) Smart Light Switches:

Since this work on 110/220V, they must be installed by a qualified electrician.

Basic steps include:

1. Turn off the main electrical power.
2. Remove the old switch and connect the smart switch according to the wiring diagram.
3. Turn the power back on.
4. Add the switch through the app.

( 3) Installing Smart AC Controllers (IR Controller):

1. Place the controller facing the AC (so the IR signal reaches it).
2. Connect it to power via USB or adapter.
3. Add it in the app.
4. Select your AC brand and calibrate it.
5. Test ON/OFF to confirm.

( 4) Installing Smart Cameras:

Indoor Cameras:

1. Choose a high and clear location.
2. Plug in the camera.
3. Connect it to Wi‑Fi (usually 2.4GHz).
4. Scan the QR code to add it to the app.

Outdoor Cameras:

1. Mount the camera on a wall using brackets.
2. Ensure a power source is nearby.
3. Protect it from direct sun and rain (IP65/IP66).
4. Add it through the app as with indoor cameras.

( 5) Installing Sensors (Door, Motion, Smoke, Water Leak):

Door/Window Sensors:

1. Clean the installation area.
2. Attach the main sensor and the magnet within 1 cm.
3. Add it to the app via the smart gateway.

Motion Sensors:

1. Mount at around 2 meters height.
2. Point it toward a movement area.
3. Connect it through the gateway in the app.

( 6) Installing Smart Curtains:

1. Remove the old curtain from the rail.
2. Install the smart curtain motor (roller or side-opening).
3. Connect it to a power source.
4. Pair it with the app via Zigbee or Wi‑Fi.
5. Calibrate opening and closing.

( 7) Installing Smart Touch Panels:

Usually requires a licensed electrician since it connects directly to electrical wiring.

Steps:

1. Insert the screen inside the wall’s electrical box.
2. Connect the wires according to the diagram.
3. Link it with the main gateway and Wi‑Fi.
4. Configure rooms and scenes.

Important Tips:

• Use 2.4GHz Wi‑Fi, as smart devices do not work on 5GHz.
• Use clear naming: Bedroom – Majlis – Living Room.
• Create smart scenes like Away, Sleep, Cinema.
• Save your Wi‑Fi password securely.
• Ensure strong Wi‑Fi coverage in all rooms.
